I wanted to take a moment to give a plug for a website that I have been spending a lot of time on lately. The website is a practical blogging guide for women in business. I think it is really useful regardless of what gender you happen to be though.
I find the posts there very easy to comment on and contribute to because they are generally about things that would interest any blogger.
The owner’s name is Tia Peterson. She has a pretty cool personality that you will find likeable. Her advice is solid and very useful.
She has a lot of advice on her blog that was written by her as well as a number of guest posters. The main categories on her site are Building a Community, Design, Making Money, Personality & Authenticity, Promotion, Reader Submitted Questions, SEO, SEM & Social Media and Technique
She has generously included the use of the Commentluv plugin, the Keywordluv plugin and the Top Commentators plugin. Her links are dofollow. She will approve your comments as long as they are thoughtfully written and on-topic.
One of her most popular posts as of right now is one about how to Avoid The 10 Surprisingly Common Blog SEO Mistakes. Check that one out for starters. There are quite a few posts over there that I really enjoyed reading. It looks like Tia has a lot of good connections.
If you are like me, then you are always looking for useful blogs to read and participate on. This one is a good one. I think you will really like BizChickBlogs.com. Swing on over there and drop Tia a note.
Oh yea. It took me a minute to find where I could subscribe to her blog via email. It was in the upper left hand corner of the blog and labeled “free updates”. The subscription link in the right hand corner is for subscribing via an RSS feed reader. Don’t be surprised when you see a lot of my comments over there on her site. I left a bunch of them.

Hi Kathy – What a great morning surprise for me! Thank you for writing about my blog here. I feel honored; I’m pretty sure no one else has done a writeup about me or the blog like this. You are the first!
Right, to subscribe via email, you’d have to click on the “free updates” link in the top left corner. Most of my subscribers grab the RSS. I would like to bring the email form to the front page so I will probably work on that today. I want people to find it easily!
Great blog you have going on here. Very clean. I like it!
Thanks again,
Tia
You are welcome Tia. I like your stuff. It is only right that I should help you spread the word about it. I tweeted and bookmarked a couple things for you too.
Keep up the good work on your blog so that way I can keep coming back to participate.
Cheers to your future success!
Just popped over to http://www.bizchickblogs.com and will be visiting often. Thanks for the link.
I hope you like it. I bet you will.
Kathy thanks for the heads up.
Building a Community and Promotion sounds interesting to me since I really enjoy being a part of positive communities. I’ll definitely check it out.
It’s always nice to stumble across a new site, especially places where the owners make me feel at home during my visit. At times, it takes me a while to get through all the blogs I follow. Thank goodness for RSS feed aggregator. :)
No doubt it is a lot more fun being a part of a positive community. I always look to help other people out never expecting anything in return. Of course I hope for it, but I know that I have to give that love away freely and willingly regardless of whether it comes back to me today or not. I know that it will eventually pay off.
Can’t we all remember a time when we did something really nice for someone that ended up paying off tenfold at some later date?
Hi Kathy, I’ll be sure to check it out. I’m about to launch a woman’s network. I’m on the lookout for great resources for women.
I have been checking out more of your website. You write some off the wall stuff.
Some controversial stuff too. lol
just dropped by BizChickBlogs.com.. she seems to be a blogger putting so much work in every post.. she offers very unique and useful contents.. Tia Peterson is awesome and very good in writing (how i wish I’ll be good in writing too..hehe)
Joliber,
I felt compelled to remove the link from your website. I do not like linking to MFA sites (made for adsense) of which yours is obviosly one. It is not that I mind people trying to monetize their websites. But, I do mind when I visit a website and there are two giant Adsense blocks side by side eating up all of the real estate above the fold. Do you really think Google is going to be happy with that if you get a manual inspection? I don’t think so.
Good luck to you, but don’t promote that kind of stuff here.
Hi Kathy, what an awesome write up. I enjoy visiting Tia’s blog as well but lately it has been her guest posts that are getting my attention. She’s all over the place! I saw her on We Blog Better talking about DoFollow resources http://weblogbetter.com/2010/08/04/10-great-dofollow-resources-for-bloggers/
that post was an eye-opener for me. Right after reading it I went over to Viddler and made sure all of my video tutorials were posted!
She’s also a contestant in the FBCL – Famous Bloggers Comment Luv contest, so I know she is a huge supporter of CommentLuv. I’m going to check out the post you linked to. I read it before, but I’ll bet I need to read it again.
Thanks for this!
Thanks for telling me about that post. I hadn’t known about that website before. It looks like a good one. She really delivered some high quality information in that article.
